Prof. Dr. R. Ragunathan is a renowned Microbial biotechnologist with over 29 years of teaching and research experience.
Prof. Dr. R. Ragunathan earned his M.Sc Microbiology from Madurai Kamaraj University and Ph.D in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University. He has been working with dedication since 1994 for the development of students and research scholars by latest technologies in Life sciences.
- Elected as "Fellow of Society of Applied Biotechnology, India" for his excellent contribution to Microbial Biotechnology
- Honoured with the Best Citizen of India award in 2009
- Received Best Teacher award in 2010
- Under his headship, CBNR has been recognized by Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi (DSIR- SIRO) from 2004
